U16 B Boys v Yateley, 11th December. 3-0
The third U16B boys outing of the season to off to a slow start, but Winchester gradually built up momentum through the first half, with several chances and sharp shots on target, most notably from Henry Tudor and Alex Henderson. Many of these were assisted by Sam Rachman, making good use of width in midfield. In the second half the squad came out with renewed energy, Reece Apicella and Alex quickly scoring 2 in the first 5 mins. Alex added his second midway through the half, confidently dribbling through the defence and nutmegging the keeper. Continued dominance to the end did not result in any further score, despite several close chances.
The squad now move into the Xmas break buoyant from a well balanced and promising team performance. There are 9 matches to come in the spring, the next away at Yateley on 8th January.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all
